Robert Schultz is the incumbent and current President of the Tehachapi Cummings County Water District
Occupation: Business Owner, Engineering Consultant, Angus Cattle Rancher, Land Owner.
Education & Qualifications: My goal as your Director on the Board of the Tehachapi-Cummings-County-Water District (TCCWD) is to represent the interest of local citizens by protecting your rights to ground water, maintain a healthy status of the basins, maintain property values by assuring the availability of water into the future, and maintain the core values and purpose of the founders of TCCWD.
With your support, I am committed to ensure responsible spending of taxpayers’ dollars while maintaining a reliable water system. Water is a key part of land values in Tehachapi for farmers, home owners, and businesses, and I understand this balance.
I studied Civil Engineering & Business Finance at UC Irvine and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I have a passion for water systems and sustainable water management.
Family: My family has been in Tehachapi since 1952. We have enjoyed the Tehachapi area for four generations. We’ve been through drought and flood. We raise cattle, own farms, operate businesses, and place a high value on caring for the land and our neighbors alike.
