Tulare Lake - An Interesting Historical Video

I came across this video about Tulare Lake and some of the history behind the watershed of California. This video tells an interesting story and continues to shed light on the importance of farming and water management throughout the United States, but especially the west. Some of the historical decisions might be different if we knew what we know today, but hindsight has always been 20/20. Today, we have a vast amount of data and technology to assist us with water management and weather. We have a better understanding of our aquifers and the roll they play in managing our long term economic stability and general health as a society. As we forge ahead toward a new era of replenishing aquifers, prioritizing the use of water, and searching for ways to provide a stable water supply into the future, it's always good to look at history and see if we can learn from the past. I understand that Tulare Lake is not Tehachapi, but the entire water system in CA is tied together and what happens throughout the state does affect us all. Enjoy the video.
